This pic shows you what kind of winds we had to deal with today!
We left our hotel this morning at 6:45AM and went to the BP store to have Subway for breakfast.  While we were there it started to rain so we ended up waiting out the rain there and finally left town at 8:20AM.  Fortunately the sky cleared and we ended up having a sunny but very windy day to bike to Cape Girardeau.

Immediately leaving Cherokee Pass we found out quickly that we were not out of the foothills of the Ozark Mountains yet.  Once again it was pretty well one hill after the other all the way to and in Cape Girardeau.  We had three big hills to climb to get to our hotel in Cape Girardeau.

We stopped at a very nice little restaurant in Gordonville (about 6 miles from Cape Girardeau) and had a bite to eat and rehydrated before we finished our ride for the day.

We have decided to stay here tomorrow and do some sightseeing.  Deb and Dennis Veerkamp have told us about several things that we would like to go and see in the area.  Plus this will give us a chance to rest up before we continue on our way on Sunday.

John walked to the bike shop this afternoon and got a few things that we needed for the bike.  Once he got back to the hotel he did some work on the bike to keep it in tip top condition. I walked over to the AT&T store and exchanged my phone for the new IPhone 5 phone.
