We left the Super 8 at 7:30 this morning and headed to Muscoda.  Right out of Reedsburg we had a long uphill climb but after that the rest of the day was absolutely perfect biking terrain.  We were biking in the valley with rolling hills on both sides of us.  Periodically you would see a farm strategically placed on the hillside.  What a beautiful area this is – it was very scenic where ever you looked.  As we were biking along I noticed that there were sun rays beaming down through the clouds which was awesome to see.

We decided to stop at a brat stand in Plains, WI. We noticed the signs for the brat fry when we first came into town.  However, it was around 9:30AM so although they had the grill going they hadn’t started making any brats yet.  We got to talking with the gentleman (Buzz) that was going to be grilling the brats and here he knows Ron and Jodie (the friends we will be staying with tonight).  Small World!  So he quickly put a couple of brats on the grill for us as we visited with him.

About 1 mile prior to arriving in Muscoda it started to very lightly sprinkle.  Not even enough for us to get out our rain gear.  We arrived at Ron and Jodine’s and had an absolutely wonderful time visiting with them.  Once we were cleaned up (I got my hair cut) we hopped in their PT Cruiser and went for a drive to see the countryside up into the hills to the north of Muscoda to Weggy’s Winery.  When we got back to the Roh’s home we spent a couple of hours out on their deck drinking beers and we were introduced to their neighbor, Judy (also Ron’s cousin) and she was very curious about our bike and our biking adventure.  It was fun shooting the bull with all of them.  For dinner Ron made delicious barbequed chicken while Jodine made baby red potato’s along with a delicious summer squash dish.  Everything was so tasty – finger licking good!  Ron and Jodine – thank you so much for your fantastic hospitality and making us feel so at home - we hope to see you two again soon! Jodine and Ron – we never did get the bill for your all inclusive B&B – lol
